Finished my crane tonight..... with no weight to balance it and almost in complete darkness I shot some trial footage.

Yes, I knows its @$$ already. I'll work on some quality footage tomorrow but for now... this is just an idea of how it works..... so go easy on me for now...

NOTE- Ill post pics and details tomorrow along with better footage.

Looks like it could produce some fun shots! Add some wieghts and play with it a bit more and I bet you'll get a lot smoother.

Just don't shoot everything with it!

Hard to do, I know. For a while everything I shot was off of my 5 foot skate dolly/ slider thingie.

I love my sticks.... but sometimes you just need a little more, so between the tripod, steadycam and crane.... I should be able to produce some "well rounded" shots.

Im using a Canon 24-70.

I was hoping today would be back to sunny.... nope... rainy and cloudy. As soon as it clears up Ill put something together.

Sorry gents, this is taking longer than I thought... the weather was crappy and now my computer is occupied capturing a crap ton of tapes for NatGeo. As soon as I get my Mac free Ill put together some video I shot.
