Rotalux won't detach, help.

I haven't used the Rotalux for a while, but I was shooting with it this morning and can't remember how to detach it from the ranger S head. It just sits and spins and spins around the mount.

I know there are two things that must be lined up and/or screwed looser/tighter. I have tried every combination of those variables and can't for the life of me understand why I can't detach the breach lock thingy. If you have this combo, you know what I mean by this: in DETACHING, should the two white dots on the outside need to lined up, or separated AND does the white screw thing INSIDE need to be tight or loose?

Please help the stupid people. I need the flash head for a location shoot tomorrow morning on a different modifier, and it is the only light I have that I can use outdoors with a battery pack. My others require power outlets I know it is just a stupid thing, but for the life o' me....

There is a White thumb screw on the inside of the speed ring that you tighten down to stop it from spinning

Do we have to stop laughing? Actually, there are modifiers out there that ship with Elinchrom-compatible speedrings that don't have a locking screw like this. So there's no easy way to stop the spinning, and you actually have to use one hand to try to prevent the spin while the other rotates the strobe off the ring. Of course, you won't have this issue with Elinchrom modifiers.

You know. If you couldent get it off... you could just call it your "franks red hot" modifier
