Wish all the HS games around here could be played during normal daylight. Makes just a tad bit of difference for sure. In a 'perfect' world...I'd had a think cloud cover and any color uniform except white.

I use Canon gear...have several bodies and lenses and am quite pleased with them.

So I'm gonna be the bad apple and say that these are all great shots, but I would try to stay away from the Shadows/highlights slider and getting too aggressive with it. Especially in ones like #7 where it almost looks fake. Instead just try and select the areas you want to lighten up individually. Otherwise it' going to give them the HDR look unless thats what you are shooting for but that isn't very popular in sports photography.

Just my $.02, nice set

Great shots! I have the same gear that you are using, but mine don't come out like that. Ugh! Where are you stationed at on the field?

Thanks for the kind words.

I'll agree on the shadow reduction on some of those...only downside to shooting in the bright sun is the harsh shadows that can tend to suck the life out of a picture when trying to correct for it.

-I was behind the 'net' backstop looking down on the sunken field for most of these shots. Was a bright day...ISO about 500 SS around 1/4000 at 4.0

Any idea on what the call was on #5? That is a pretty close play and a great pic.

Yea I understand and I know how shadows can be tough. The only ones I really noticed it on is number 5 (but it works for the play at the base and gives it a rough feeling) and the one I noted earlier. All the other ones have subtle shadow enhancements and it works for them.

Great work in harsh light/colors. I have always hated those conditions .. especially with white uni's.
2, 4, 7 are my pics ...
