Aggressive noise reduction when the camera does the processing of the raw to jpeg. You can see it when looking at the details. It sort of destroys all the minute details.


Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.

yes! no jpegs coming out of this camera, unless i use the HDR .

I liked it too. Mirrored my rationale for upgrading form the original 5d to the Mark III.
I like my Mark III, but it could have been the next T90, if canon had included AF linked spot metering, more advanced meetering, uncompressed video out, USB 3.0, UDMA SD slot, etc. See my review on Amazon.
Even though the AF is quite advanced, I still notice it hunts a little, even with all of my wide aperture L glasses that should take advantage of all those cross sensors.

I have kept my original 5D. I love the images it produced. This one has traveled with me all over the world - dust safaris, beaches, different countries and environments and has yet to fail me.
