Beautiful shot. Not sure if I would have gone for the rear tentacles in focus or the near ones as you have. Whatever still looks great.

as it is blurry and looks 'closed in' (because of it's spreading out size)
it may be better without the framing at all

beautiful colours

I think it is in a pot
maybe try and get another shot clearer and more in focus... before it dies
(take from above if it seems too spread out)
:)

Great shot Marc, so you have a whole tank full of photographic subjects?

Marie, no it's not a pot....Cerianthid anemones are actually a worm, the pot like thing you can see is the tube in which the actual worm lives. The pic I took shows the 'crown'. The worm buries itself in the sand forming the pot like tube leaving the crown exposed above the sand to catch food. The stingers pack quiet a punch and can catch small fish. This 'tube anemone' is approx 5" in diamter, the tube section is approx 8-9" long.

Dennis..I work in an aquatic shop. I have plenty of subjects coming in weekly which is nice. Even if I dont get any new ones arrive I have a 700 gallon reef display tank to work with :)

This is a really poor shot of the right hand side of the tank..it's 10' long in total.

Marc, thank you very, very much for explaining
I had absolutely no idea
am really sorry for the misunderstanding

I really appreciate your patience and kindness in explaining

that new photograph is very lovely and has the most beautiful colours
thanks a lot for showing it

I had anemones growing in the garden
and I wondered how the one you showed was so different
but thought it must be an exotic relation , a pot plant of the smaller (but different ) flowers growing outside
I had no idea it was anything like you say
( shock)
so again many thanks
(tanks)

your first photo shows it is a beautiful specimen
and the other picture shows so much beautiful colour (in the tank) also

apologies:D

Lovely colors Marc, however, I think I'm leaning in the same direction as Brian - I would have liked it more if the centre was in focus.
