I'm curious about the new Sigma 50-150 OS, and I was searching google for more information when I ran accross this MTF chart. If this, and I believe it to be, is the MTF for the new OS version of the 50-150, then it's beginning to look pretty good.

Of course we are all still waiting to hear about real reviews, but still the MTF values look promising.

This lens seem to be a nice transition from a 17-50 or 17-55 to the 50-150. I think APS-C users should be happy to hear there is an alternative to the 70-200.

One drawback I see is with the size and weight which seems to be in line with the 70-200.

I've had a 50-150mm non OS for a number of years. Great lens.

Really, from what I've seen thus far with the non OS version, and the new OS version being sharper, I'm not too worried about image quality.

Having said that, we need thedigitalpicture, lenstip, slrgear, and dpreview to reveiw this lens because because of what I'm most worried about, and that is focus. Will this lens front focus? Back focus or just miss a lot of focus. I'm most anxious about this lens because of potential focus issues.
