2 weeks ago I joined up with a fellow photographer to return to one of my favourite places to shoot ( https://photography-on-the.net …/showthread.php?t=1164038 [last 2 photos] ).

On Wednesday (2 weeks later) we revisited this shore. This time shooting in an area I had never even explored before. With ZERO clouds and no wind our hopes of more long exposure experiments were kibosh'd. In the wake of that I saw other possibilities. Glass like water and clear skies actually made for some great photo opportunities. Once again, I came home with a few keepers.

All single exposures with a 3 stop GND filte and very little PP except the last which is a 3 exposure blend.

2 and 5 need a very slight rotation counter-clockwise but otherwise, five frames of sublime perfection!

The crystal ball is an excellent touch!

Thank you Jay! I fixed number 5's level. 2 is actually level. It's hard to see but there is still ice on the lake far in the distance and is level! Can't believe I missed it on #5. That is what happens when you process while drinking! LOL

Thank you Al. It's getting harder and harder to find new and interesting spots for me to shoot with out going full on hiking/camping in the wilderness. Which I would love to do one day!

Have you ever been to Churchill? I was there in '68 as a teenager, but would love to go back some year to shoot birds. It's somewhat a bleak place when one first arrives, but there are lots of good shots to be had.

those pictures are amazing!! i would prefer them without the black frame though. it kind of distracts from the actual image plus a lot of people use them to make ****ty pictures look better. your pictures cleary don't need that :)
