Hi,

the strangest thing has happened to me ... when I tried to type something in Internet Explorer, the text came out in reverse order ... like this -> 'siht ekil'.

I closed Internet explorer and now everything is working again.

Is that some kind of weird feature that can be enabled via a hotkey or shortcut or should I be afraid of having contacted some kind of virus??? (If so, the folks at microsoft might think about documenting it in some kind of obvious way  )

Or is it some kind of software my employer has sneakily installed to keep me from surfing the net???

Anybody has EXPERIENCE with that kind of problem?

Best regards,
Andy

Are you sure your monitor isn't upside down?;)

No, it's a laptop ... too small for gremlins and the monitor can not be dismantled to be mounted upside-down.

So thank you for your contributions, but I could rule out these possibilities. I even checked if my glasses were dirty enough to account for mirroring the text I enter ... but nay. Not this one, either.

Best regards,
Andy

You don't happen to be using CyberDyneSystem's keyboard, do you?

Umm, maybe your laptop was designed for use in the southern hemisphere?

Are you using Windows? Maybe check languages under Control Panel. Maybe you're set up for Hebrew or something.

That was one of my initial assumptions as well ... but it worked in word and notepad. Strange, maybe this will go down under the great unsolved mysteries...

And the keyboard might have been manufactured in the southern hemisphere ... it's one of those cheap Chinese 'Lenovo' ones sold as 'IBM'

Andy
