Is there any way to check how many pictures I've taken on my camera?

Me too, and I've yet to figure this out either. I actually downloaded Wine so I could download IE so I could use eoscount.com, but I couldn't download IE (6, 7 or 8).

Very frustrating. I can't believe no one has developed anything for mac users. And why is something as important as shutter count not included in standard EXIF data?? Why should we need special software to see this information?

I have done the following.

1) One of my macs has parallels on it, so I use this for my Windows needs.
2) Or I have a cheap netbook that I use for my Windows needs, cost me $300 about 2 years ago. Still fine for most things. Use it for Focal, etc...
3) I have convinced my IT department at work that I know what I am doing, so I have local admin rights on my computer. I have used my work computer before or after work to update firmware, etc...

For the 60D, make a Linux CD and run gphoto2: https://photography-on-the.net …/showthread.php?t=1058019

Yeah it is pretty stupid. Cars have odometers yet for these cameras you have to jump through hoops to get basic info. It should be built into the camera wtf.

Exactly, we shouldn't need special software.

Too bad I don't have Windows on my Mac and a netbook.

Linux CD? It just sounds complicating.
