It should be on the CD-ROM you got with your camera.

Which OS are you using?

The update is actually the full install file, but you need to do a registry hack to get it to install without the original CD-ROM. Either do a google search, or give us your computer info and someone will find a link with instructions to follow.

It should be on the Canon Website, if not. There's usually a lot of helpful links on google regarding EOS Utility. That's what I did!

For MAC:

Then drag the app to desktop and show its contents. Navigate to Contents > Resources and remove the file “update.plist”. Now you can run this app as a normal installer.

Since you do not have anything to lose, I would try moving the UpdateTool file out of the installer package and see if that works.

Maybe Canon changed something to avoid the hack.

I do not understand Canon's thoughts on not making EOSUtility free to install :(

Edit: With more research, it looks like you need to find an old version. 2.6.1. Install that first using the above hack, then install the latest version.

Seems to be working. What the link you provided failed to mention was that, once youre in the "contents" folder you need to find SDI.bundle, right-click to "show package contents", navigate to another resources folder where you will finally find the update.plist. Deleted it and it worked fine. Woot woot!

THanks guys!
