So as i suspected a few weeks back, my sigma 150-500OS has an issue with the OS system...I'm curious what others have experienced as far as the turn around for repairs with sigma...This is the only time of the year that I really really need this lens...I could afford to be out with it for 2-3 weeks....anything more than that will really hurt me...so...when you have an issue with sigma, and you send your lens in...how long before it's back in your hands?

I have a Sigma warranty center here where I live. I drop it off by hand, and usually in about a week it's done.

Drop it off Monday, pick up on Friday.

The center also said that if I need the same lens, they can loan me a lens to use in the time being.
So perhaps you could get a loaner somehow. I have no idea how, but it's an idea? :P

I had to send my 24-70 in for a repair after it took a tumble, needed the ring with the af/mf switch replaced and it took about 3 weeks from the day I posted it(possibly a day or two over because I missed the return delivery first time round).

I'm based in the UK though so in the USA it might be different.

Sigma doesn't (can't) do any serious work on lenses in States. Electrical AF adjustment, firmware upgrade, that's about it. For anything optical they send them to Japan, turnaround 6-8 weeks.
