Good: Interesting patterns in front left
Bad: detail lost in shadows on the right.
Ugly: still looking for it.

There might be enough interesting in the front left for it to stand on its own. Try a tighter crop (possibly a portrait) to see if you find that of interest to you.

Image editing OK, encouraged, and expected. Thank you for helping me learn!

I don't think there's enough interest in the texture ot hold thepicture together. I don't know if you could have clambored out on that stuff but you go a whole big rock full of birds out there on the right.

The reason I didn't go out there was that the tide was comming in, I didn't want to get stuck out there. But I am going to head back out there at some point and I will definitely try to move closer.

There are some nice leading lines in this shot. The shadows are dark but there is detail there, you just have to reach for it a bit. I think I'd clone out the boat on the right, brighten the shadows, maybe darken the sky a bit. Here is an edit (forgot to clone out the ship).
