harsh sunlight with random clouds made for a tough shoot but i overcame and got some decent action. first time editing with LR4 and still unsure if i like it but im sure ill get used to it, it seems different even though its pretty much the same as 3 lol

You did well but I always hate it when I get a good shot but a small piece of a foot or some other body part is missing. Usually it makes me crop in even closer. I would definitely crop out the bench in the first one. Otherwise they look sharp and well exposed. I too find LR4 different and something to get used to.

Crop tighter, to much dead space on the sides for me. Overall not a bad set though. Just work on making the compositions a little more interesting, right now its just person in middle with lots of empty area around them.

Definitely crop out the bench in the first one. For sports shots, I'm not against cutting out a part if it isn't really needed. You can't get away with it in other areas of photography, but sports is a little more forgiving. Here are a couple of examples where I cropped the shot to give it a little punch. It also removed the net, which I hate having in shots unless it's unavoidable. Also, it helps if the subject is on one side and action is moving toward the negative space. Exposure and sharpness look good though.
