Cartoni Tripod Quick Release plate

Is there a cheaper alternative to a Cartoni Quick Release plate ? Ive found them on B&H for around $100-ish..... didnt realize they were that much.

I can't tell by looking. Are they a proprietary plate or Arca-Swiss. If its proprietary you're probably out of luck. If they're AS compatible then you've got lots of options.

They appear to be proprietary. After looking at B&H and seeing that Cartoni heads can go for thousands of dollars I don't think I'd be too upset at having to pay $80 for a plate.

Looks sort of like the Manfrotto 357PL (external link) plate used on their 393 gimbal head (external link), but without dimensions, it's hard to be sure. Doesn't look like an Arca-Swiss style plate.

I know $80 is a small price to pay when you have two of these tripods... but every dollar counts now-a-days. So I figured I would ask the pro's here. Thanks for the help guys!
