Um...Is this normal to find in your new bag?

I have a Tenba Messenger, and use it more as a briefcase. I don't recommend it to others as a camera bag.

Last time I checked, Henry's had discounted the Retro bags...all but the Retro5. The only way I know how to reduce bulk in a bag is to leave the padding out. That's what Domke does. Have you looked at Domke bags? I have 2. My F3X is a delight. My F2 becomes very heavy with my gear. I use a Domke Postal Pad on both bags.

I like my Think Tank Urban Disguise, a UD40. But it wouldn't carry all your gear. I sold my Retro10 because it was too big and bulky, packing light. And I didn't like the raincover. I am the only one here speaking badly about the Retro bag; however, I don't see any alternatives.

Iused to have good luck working with 2 bags. A storage bag. And a shooter's bag to shoot from.

First - take the memory sticks and stuff back to the store and explain that you found them in the case you bought.

Second - demand a 10% to 20% discount (refund, that is) for the difference between new and used product.

I don't have Canon gear, nor the Nikon equivalent to that lens. So the real answer is I don't know. I have the Ruggedwear version of that bag, and Henry's discounted it to $178 when I bought...that is an interesting price! I haven't seen Domke gear when in the Mississauga store of Vistek.

They might argue that the bag is in perfect condition (which it is) but I think I'm going to try for it anyway. I know the canon-rep at the store so maybe I can weasel a discount out of him. Either way its starting to nag on me that its not a straight-from-the-factory new bag. I get that bags are bought and returned all the time...but still..

Doesn't matter what the physical condition is; if someone else used it, wore it, and returned it, it isn't NEW and they shouldn't be charging you new price for it. Especially if they couldn't even be bothered to clean the wear stains off of it.

This is true.

Either way, I'm not 100% in love with it yet, so if they don't give me the discount I can just tell them fine, and return the bag

+1 vote for seeing whats on the memory card....

Do you really think someone would go to the trouble of loading a virus or malicious code onto a SD card, then hide it in a random bag, in a retail store, in the hopes to infect an anonymous computer?

The SD cards and memory sticks weren't in any packaging, so I don't think they are new. But thats also a possiblity. The bag was on a public access shelf amongst all the other bags they sell - I don't think they carry any behind the counter.

That exactly what shop lifters do, they take things out of their packages to avoid the electronic security. My friend and I found empty packages stuffed into camera bag in the store once and immediately knew something had been stolen.

Hey, you never know - I've heard of things done like that before. Hackers are strange people who have nothing better to do with there time - but it IS far fetched. Either way, I'm not going to risk my computer out of curiousity when Im just going to be returning these anyway :P Let them infect Henry's computers, haha

Hasn't the Lowepro Classified line been discontinued? Was it replaced by the Pro Messenger series?

I know its not available at Henry's but I noticed Vistek seems to have them...I dunno, maybe I'll just stick with the messenger Its still a very good bag
