My first BIF

Shot these with my Nifty-250. Not the best but considering the equipment and the operator they came out OK.

They were right over my head and I should have tried Spot Metering but thought about it after the fact.
Maybe the Better Beamer would have helped? But that would limit me to 1/200.

You didn't do too bad at all.
It's hard to shoot like that. Gotta overexpose a little

Yes I needed to overexpose but doing it for the first time you dont remember everything until after the fact. I honestly was surprised that I got these to look OK.

Certainly better than my first attempts at BIFs Mike!
The 1st capture is just a little far away, but the 2nd is quite nice. Add about 1 stop overexposure and the 2nd would be just about perfect. Keep after `em and keep posting!

Second one actually wasn't even a crop so I am especially proud of that.

I will have to keep overexposing in mind. Spot metering should take care of that since I have my exposure set at +2/3 for the most part anyway.
