Stable tripod (just 1 in mid) for slider

Hello world!

After doing some research I am settling on this tripod to use with my Igus slider (standard 3/8 hole):

I do not want to use 2 tripods on the side, just one in the center (must be stable).

Question: Do I need to purchase an adapter (I'm hearing people sporadically talking about adapters with their tripod and slider setups) to mount my slider to this tripod?

I am not set in stone on this tripod--I'm open to others in the sub $200 category. If you have any recommendations please advise (if you could state whether I will need any adapters or such that would be great as well). Thanks for your time.
