Had really nice conditions here over the weekend, except that the next morning was Easter morning and little did I know, that about 5000 people were showing up for sunrise easter services and egg hunts. The place was nuts and I gave up and drove home with no sunrise shot (it would have sucked anyways - no clouds). :p

Nice shots. I really like #1 and #5, but all are good.

I love your work with the clouds - very moving. I visited White Sands about 20 years ago; I would love to go back. Great shots. My favorites are 3 and 5.

Some nice compositions there...although I think the sky was 'pushed' just a little bit too much in a few of them (too much vibrance maybe?). Other than that, you've got some nice shots.

Very nice Todd! I really like the contrasty tones in the sand and vegetation in the last image; which is a dramatic looking image. I also agree with Argyle's assessment regarding the sky, which looks just a bit too saturated and heavy.

Did you use your 24L for these, or the 16-35?

Thanks guys, I played with these a bit, maybe I need to dial the skies down a bit. I'll play with them so more and see what I can come up.

Thanks again!

Really great shots Todd! And thanks for the advice on shooting at night. It helped a lot.

Beautiful series. White Sands is an amazing place on any day, but the clouds really add to the composition.

That looks beautiful. My only critique is that the horizon is a bit too centered for my linking, but could be just me. Those places look awesome!
