I'm very happy to be able to bring this series of images of Brown Thrashers to you for a couple of reasons: 1) it is the State Bird of Georgia and yes, I'm a Georgia boy, and 2) the habitat "restructuring" and blind I put up a couple of months ago has paid off nicely. I hope you'll agree w/my title when viewing these birds that it is all about the eyes.

And lastly, here's one of the first complete edits of the image I shared SOOC with you about a week ago or so.

It's been a while coming, but I've thoroughly enjoyed "the chase" of obtaining these captures. I hope that you've enjoyed this series and will feel comfortable leaving comments and critiques. Thank you for taking a look!

Wow, what kind of battery is running inside to light up those eyes like that? Absolutely brilliant captures of the Thrasher, Steve! Your effort and the blind have definitely paid off. :D
They are all beautiful but I REALLY like #1. The low perspective, subject isolation, and ****cough***Chest-out posture****cough**** .......make it extra special. ;)

Well I've no real critique to offer Steve, they are all excellent. #5 is my favourite, amazing expression!
Thanks for your reply BTW, very helpful. I'm currently weighing up the pros and cons (and the finances) :)

You're certainly getting the eye in these but I unfortunately I think it might be the stink eye. Very nice set Steve.

Spectacular captures. The eyes are so bright and clear; they look like stuffed animal (toy) plastic!
