5D3 file name format

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know why there is a difference in the raw file name format in the 5D3 i.e. _I8Cxxxx, compared to 5D2 where the format is _MG_xxxx ? Thanks....

5d3 name now has 4 characters and you also have the option to change it to whatever you like.

I have mine set to be 5d3 and my other camera set to 1d4 so I know right away which files came from which camera

and the first character is set to the _ because you've set to use Adobe colour space rather than sRGB.
