Sawfly is the common name for insects belonging to suborder Symphyta of the order Hymenoptera. Sawflies are distinguishable from most other Hymenoptera by the broad connection between the abdomen and the thorax, and by their caterpillar-like larvae. The common name comes from the saw-like appearance of the ovipositor, which the females use to cut into the plants where they lay their eggs.

unusual what set up were using ?


Canon 5d . canon 1dmk11. 24-105 L is ,100-400 L is ,50 mm 1,4 sigma 12- 24 dg .... learning on th job :p

Sorry for the late answer, I used 100mm L macro lens + Kenko extention tubes + Diffused Canon 580ex flash on this one. Handhelded and single exposure. Thanks
