It seems that when the light sensor for the auto LCD brightness control is blocked or unblocked from ambient light, the LCD brightness remains the same. I am wondering if I have a dud or are there any other 5D3 owners seeing the same thing? Thanks

OK, just confirmed that there's no malfunction in the auto brightness control. It's just not doing the auto adjustment in real time like in 5D2. The sensor takes a reading when the preview button is pressed.

I just find it easier to put it on manual and set it to what looks good for me. I always think I've under or over exposed when it's on auto.
