11-nice job overpowering the sun. The B+G were cool with massive flash blasts during the ceremony ? Could you have re-oriented the party ?

18-highly subjective, but I'm not sold on the color balance here. I might have tried to occlude the sun a little more (shifting until it's covered by a tree).

19-Great. I wish there was a little more SAT. uniformity in the sky (top right fades a little), but I like this.

21-Great. Beautiful colors, great silhouette. love how that veil is looking especially against the black. Might have gotten up a little higher.

30-looks like ghosting on his arm from dragging. Given your ability to control light in this situation, I'd not have dragged.

Here are my thoughts.

09: At first I thought it was a bit too centered, but then I saw her reflection in the mirror. I like the treatment a lot too. It could have been a little less centered though.

11: I think its a real nice shot. It is using a bit wider angle lens than I normally use and you get a bit of the distortion, but its alright.

18: I like this one a lot. Maybe a tad too centered again, but I like it.

19: Great shot.

21: Im not a fan of this one - it looks like you planned to light it with strobe but you had a misfire. At first I thought they were looking away, but then I saw they were facing towards you. They are too close together for a silhouette and create a blob.

22. I feel this shot should either be tighter or wider.

25: Nice moment captured

30: I am not sold on this image. Why didnt you increase your shutter speed a little? It doesnt look like you are getting (or want) much ambient.

Thanks for the feedback and critique guys, I appreciate it. I agree with a lot of what you're saying. As you know weddings are uncontrolled and rushed, you do the best you can at the time, and overall I'm pretty happy with the photos. Here's a few thoughts:

11 (ceremony) - you can't see the crowd of people around them (though we have that shot), and the strobe had to be really close to be effective

18 (driveway sunset) yeah color balance is a bit wrong. I made the sun look like that on purpose, personal taste.

19 (sunset) yeah I could alter the sky, a version was just linked to by a wedding blog that's a 16:9 crop I did for facebook that misses that part out. I might do the couple a 50" print of it though.

21 (sillouete) not a misfire, I have the lit version too. Higher might've been an option, that's what looked best through the camera at the time.

22 (kissing in grass) I could crop tighter, it is cropped a little, wider wouldn't work due to the area.

30 (dancing) fair call, I didn't even notice the arm, I was looking at their expressions when I chose the shot. I was trying to drag a little ambient in, but in reflection it wasn't needed. I blame having been working for 12 hours for that one! Still I don't think it spoils the shot, I like their expressions.

Not good enough Tim. You need to give perfection, every time, without question.

Of course I am kidding. I think you did a great job and am sure your clients are happy. If I didnt convey that in my post previously, I apologize. I like to see that you are sharing again, I hope you keep up with it.

Here's my take:

09. I like the mono treatment, the reflection on the mirror, and just the general scene. If I were to nit pick, it feels a little cramped where the girls hands are.

11. Ah, this is the one with the AB800. I think this is a nice shot considering what you were battling.:)

18. The sun is a bit too overwhelming for my personal taste, but I like the overall feel of the photo. Nice lighting. I might have gotten a little bit more of that pathway, but that's a nit pick.

19. Me likey.

21. Not too crazy about this one sorry to say. I think a sillouette shot with them looking towards the camera just doesn't work. I also don't like the centered composition on this one.

22. I like this shot and mono treatment. I would have shot this a little loser so his hands aren't chopped off like that.

25. Good capture. I kinda like the warm red/orange light coming from the flying thingy.

30. Yeah, that motion blur on his arm bothers me. So does the light stand visible in the background. Skin tone seems slightly off. (?)

Having said those things, I think these are very nice images. I checked out the blog post too. Some fun images in there. :)

I post here every year or just to prove I'm not completely full of **it. Put up or shut up, so to speak.

11 and 18 are my favorite, im pretty impressed with the power of that strobe. The image is worth hauling the equipment down there. I like the color in 18. The flair is almost too much but I like it. the flair adds warmth. I wish in 19 they were standing closer. They seem to far apart but I like everthing else about it.
