I really like the feel of these. especially #1, 3, 5(if you could see his feet), 8

much post processing? or is the film helping with the cinematic like approach?

wow, no pp makes these that much better. any filter on the lens? manual focus is really fun for someone with a good eye, you have it. auto focus has to assume and make the important decisions for you... it can really mess up a day lol.

these make me want a film camera that much more. any advice on what to look for when buying one?

i love the dynamic range and detail.

I was told that film has less dynamic range than digital, wether that is true or not, I always feel differently when I see the stunning results of film.

Costco was our last film processor in town. I think Walmart still ships it out. My Rebel SLR is oh-so lonely and wants to play with the new L primes...

Good work of your A-1, Jonney. Keep giving it the TLC it deserves!

(#6 looks like a misfit)

i give u a bit of history on that camera. It was my mums camera that she bougth before i was born and she recently past away a couple of years ago. So this camera i now own and will cherish as it has a lot of history/memories.

This camera simply can never be replaced

Nice job, excellent images.

What did you use to scan the film?

Quite the opposite actually...negative film has more DR than digital...its really really hard to blow highlight detail on film.

BTW...nice shots OP!

Wait until you try medium format...that will really make you rethink things. ;)

hehe why is that?

35mm scans are great and really convenient but they can be a tad grainy especially when viewed larger than web size. MF scans are super crisp and clear while still keeping the DR/skin tones/color of film.
