Will this work for Volleyball, Track & Basketball on a canon 450 XSi
70-200mm f/2.8 EX DG APO OS HSM for Canon
Or do I need to look at something else

My best lighted HS gym I'm at ISO 3200, f/2.8 and 1/640. Most are at ISO 4000, and I have two that I have to shoot at ISO 12,000 to get a shutter of 1/640 at f/2.8. D. Warren Robison

kenjancef Goldmember More info | Agree with both replies. All gyms I shoot in I have to use my 85 1.8, and at LEAST 3,200 ISO. For kicks one day last month I tried my 70-200 Mark II where I was using my 85, and it was a no-go. The only lenses I bring on a gym shoot are the 85 and my 50 1.4.

I prefer the 70-200 since I move around to get the shots. I do have to bump up the ISO to 6400 but with NR software. Here are a couple of links to my pics.
