Just came back from a visit to the Sonoran Desert Museum in Tucson. The "free flight" hawk show was really great. Good photo ops there.

No, they certainly aren't, they are GREAT - love the poses, the eye contact, the compositions and sharpness. I also love how mean this chap looks in the final shot.

I especially love the last one: not in flight, but great pose, contrast, colors and details : very well done. I hope to be able to attend such a show in my area some day.

Nice set on this beauty and that second image getts a lot of my attention for the intense look and wing position.

Yes excellent work! I was there last Sunday but the Ferruginous Hawk didn't cooperate and it flew off into the desert and they had to go get it.

Thanks maniac, yeah the docents warned us that sometimes the hawks don't cooperate, especially as the weather warms the hawks go off and hunt.
