I just sold my t2i and got a 5d2 and now I need some lenses to go with it, so what I came up with is this:
used 24-70 F2.8L ~ 1050$
used 50 F1.4 ~ 320
and I want a flash preferably a canon ~ around 200$

what do you guys think about it?

any suggestion will be welcome
Thanks

EDIT:ah I should probably say that I mainly shoot portrait and street photography and some events (mostly friends and family)

That's a tried and true setup. When finances allow, adding the 70-200 2.8 will give you a very flexible setup from reasonable wide to reasonably tele. You may also consider the 16-35 2.8 to give you UWA.

I still use my trusty 550EX. Great light. I think you can find them used for about $200. Downside is that 580 attachments don't fit the head.

I would recommend that you consider the Sigma 50 1.4 instead of the canon. You could also consider the Canon 85 1.8 instead of 50mm. The additional FL would benefit portraits, while 50mm would be a more general use lens.

the sigma is kindda streching my budget although I did read very good reviews about it.
as for the 85 1.8 while it is a great lens the reason I opted for the 50 is that I really like that FL and would use it for street photography when I don't want to lag around with the brick

Yongnuo 565EX Speedlite is a good basic flash...doesn't have high speed sync though.

If you can squeeze about $150 more into your budget I have been seeming a ton of 580 ex II's selling around here lately.

430 EXII is an excellent flash. I think you'll be pleased with it!

The 430ex or 430exII is a lot of bang for the buck. Unless you need the wireless master or the 360 bounce you will be happy with the cheaper flash.

Why do you want to stay with the canon? When I was looking for a flash the metz 50-af1 grabbed my attention over the 430exII. The swivel head is 360 degrees, it has a built-in bounce card and it's a bit more powerful for less money.

On camera control for EXII :)

Faster and very useful when it's 10ft up on the lightstand, assuming you have the right radio toys.

You can do the same with the metz 50af-1. It can be triggered using the flash from a 60d in both manual and ettl mode. It also has hyper synch. I normally change my flash setting in-camera with no problem. The only limitation with on-camera flash is line of sight and distance to the strobe.
