Haven't seen this posted yet, and it looks quite interesting for fans of Yongnuo (and I know there's plenty of people that aren't!)

It has nothing to do with the new 600EX, it's (yet another) Yongnuo alternative that gives wireless ETTL, but *no* hotshoe connections beyond the basic flash pin, so it's essentially a wireless ETTL version of the 560/560II, rather than any kind of replacement for the 565EX.

I was about to order a 560II as my second flash, but I think I'll hold off and see what the prices are on these first, I have no need for another ETTL on camera flash, but another flash with wireless ETTL would be nice - sometimes it's just easier to adjust the power of the flashes from the camera menus rather than get at the flashes themselves.

this seems promising. So this would more augment ocf arsenals than those looking for a hot-shoe flash.
I hope this isn't priced more than the 565.

I can't see it being more than the 565, the 565 does everything this does and more. I'm guessing it's going to be between the 565 and the 560II, but hopefully not *too* much more than the 560II :p

I guess they could potentially upcharge for the higher guide number. Time will tell.

If the GN is the same then I don't know what this thing is trying to be. A newer 560 or a 565 replacement?

Did you not read my description or the link? :)

565 is ETTL on camera and ETTL off camera
560 is Manual on camera and Manual off camera
600 is Manual on camera and ETTL off camera

I did. :) I just found it bizarre that they chose to create a product with that niche.

Well, Im going to assume its cheaper than the 565. Otherwise there is no place for it.

It's actually exactly what I'm looking for, if the price premium isn't too much over the 560 II .. if it's a substantial difference then I'll put up with changing the power on the flashes themselves :)

This really is quite an interesting flash. Basically the 560 and 565 had a baby. Manual flash with ETTL slave abilities

My guess on price will be about $100.00-110.00. Any more then that and I think its priced to close to the 565 to justify getting it over the 565 even if you just want an off camera ettl slave (because at least a 565 can double as a back up to an on camera 565 in case it goes down)

For those looking for off camera ettl slaves this might be a great product. I'm really interested to see how it prices out!

I think $100-110 is about right, and it fills a perfect niche considering a lot of multi flash addicts enjoy yongnuo for the budget and love the 560s off camera. I've been thinking about expanding my lighting ability and these could fit the bill for sure

Why is HSS difficult for YN to crack....they seem to crack everything else?
