Hi guys,

As you know I have been taking photos with Tokina 28mm RMC reversed. But I am a stupid and sold it

Now, I 've bought a new lens Canon 28mm FD however the sharpnest is just awful after Tokina

Have you ever tested any wide-angle lens for macro photography? Any suggestion will be helpful..

It's taken with Tokina around %90 cropped! One single shot!

It's taken with Canon and altough stacked from 3 shots, there is no sharpness at all!

evirgen, my eyes aren't the sharpest in the world, but to me the eyes in your Canon shot seem to be nice and crisp/sharp -- are you saying they aren't? Could you post a close crop of the eyes from each pic?

Running an unsharp mask is a cheap enough solution ;D

Lots of people like to use enlarging lens. Things like the el nikkor 50, or some olympus ones. Really, its just best to browse around for opinions from people that have had a chance to use them on places like photomacrography.net since there is no way to know without trying it in a reversed format.

Did you use tokina reversed just on body or you use some kind of lens in front of tokina ?

It was just too soft in actual pixels.

TheLostVertex, yeah. I sold it and bought a new prime pentax 35mm. Who cares Tokina anymore? :p

matej9o, there was only reversed lens adaptor between tle lens and the body, sir.
