I love the reach, but OMG this bastard is heavy lol. Looks like its well built only issue with me is the case. I brought it home and took it the cap was off the lens. Not sure if the foam surrounds are giving a snug fit or not.

I was looking for some birds but found the bee. I tried some sharpening thru cs5. But my skills need some work. Im happy so far with the big ass lens

Congratulation on the lens, you will love it. As other have said you will get used to it, but a monopod does help at times. It's not a bee but a wasp.

Thanks for Reading & Good Luck - Jim

Depends.. if he chases you, you won't be able to run very fast with that beast around your neck. :D

Congrat's on the lens. 500mm is nice!

OT:
If your interested in a shoulder bag for the 150-500, the Thinktank Urban Disguise 35 was nice when I owned the lens. I could have the lens attached to my gripped 40D in the bag, zipped. There was a little bulge, nothing major. Love Thinktank bags.

Congratulations on the new lens. You will have to get used to not only the weight but the length. 500 mm is looonnnnggg and it takes some practice to get used to that length. A monopod really does help, not only with the weight but with sharpness at 500 mm.

Tim
