Meh..wasn't going to post this but it was kinda funny. Keep in mind I'm an amateur and this is a hobby for me...

Bought a couple of lens hoods and other small goodies a few months back. I had them help me at the counter since it is a fairly big camera store. Got them home, put them on their respective lenses. The 18-55mm was hard plastic and looked how I thought it should look.
The 50mm was soft and bendy. I got it screwed on, but it didn't look right. It looked to short and like it wasn't going to block much light. I took it off, examined it, compared it to the other one. I was actually kind of mad thinking he didn't give me the right one.
Easter: I'm outside taking pics of the kid searching for eggs, hubby says, "why don't you use the hood, isn't that what it's there for"
Me "I am, see.." (holding up the camera)
He reaches over, gives it a little yank and it pops out.
Me:

Live and learn is what i say!
I thought my new 7D was broken when i could not for the life of me change the aperture in manual mode! I tried everything even reset all setting including custom.

My wheel was on lock. Very clearly marked LOCK.

Hehe

People gotta learn to laugh at themselves, or this passion and life in general, will just be more difficult. For no reason.

I think you have it under control. ;)

I'll laugh with you, not at you. Gotta admit it, that's a good one though. :)

I have often been in the forest and not seen the trees but this is the best one I have experienced to date.

Just to get out of the house a few days a week I got a job as a customer shuttle driver for a car dealership. I came in for training on Wednesday. The guy showing me the ropes is in his early 70's. He told me to be careful when the phone rang because there was this quiet pre ring and then there was a second loud ring. He described it as an eco or something like that. He told me never to press the "lift receiver" button on the steering wheel until the second louder ring. He stated he could not figure out why it was doing that.

Next day (Thursday) I went live. They purchased a GPS for me and I figured that out and just tried to get through the day. Friday I was a little more confident so like any new situation you start to pay attention to more things. The phone rang and then I realized the cell phone rings first and then there is a delay for a few seconds before the blue tooth picks up the signal and rings.

He has only been driving the shuttle for 4 years. I have never used a blue tooth device until last week.

I was going to but not I'm not sure now. He's doing fine so maybe I'll just leave him to do his thing.
