The 5D3 is really what Canon shouldve released as the 5D2.

IMHO, the outgoing 5D2 was really a 5D with a 1Ds III sensor [PERIOD].

The 5D3 is really the 5D2. ill shut up and grab my popcorn now. :p

Actually it was more like a 5D with a 1Ds III sensor ;) But you have a point, makes no sense to update a model line and make minimal changes which leaves much to be desired.

LOL yes, but you have to say that as you have a vested interest.......just like a Nikon D800 owner will say their camera is better than a 5D3 ;)


Here's a challenge....post a photo taken at ISO 100 with your 5D3 that proves without a shadow of doubt that it's better :D

Had the 5d2 been like the 5d3 is now, Canon wouldn't have sold 15 1DsIII's. Same fps, same AF, etc. I don't think many people would have paid 3X as much for weathersealing alone.

Well, going from 5D2 to 5D3 is like going from Iphone 4 to Iphone 4S.

I did not buy the Iphone 4S and I will not buy the 5D3. The upgrade is way too small.

I will wait for Iphone 5 and 5D4. :)
