I guess this lens isnt compatible with the newer eos bodies. Last nite i shot two wrestling matches then when i got to my hockey game i got the err 99. did some research found out it has to be rechipped. called sigma and they told me the parts arent available but they offered me a small discount. I would not recomend this lens!

they said they dont make the parts for this lens anymore and they would sell me the sigma 70-200 2.8 ex hsm for like 700 bucks or something and I just told them no I cant afford it after the financial loss of there lens going down on me. Good thing I kept my trusty canon f4!!! I am supposed to talk with the guy I am buying the 2.8 from tomorrow. My D60 works just fine tho! I thought that was my problem, I almost crapped my pants!
