So I went to high park in Toronto yesterday with couple of my friends to see the cherry blossom ^^ and I finally had a chance to test the 85L along with the 5D mark II for the first time. Since the 24L is almost my lens cap for the MarkIII

Did some random shots with my friend lena.

All I wanna say is that the 5D3 brought the 85L to life.

Foucing is very sharp and very very fast evey single time even in back light conditions.

I knew that there has been some iusses with the new 5D3, nonetheless it's not going to affect me enjoying this great camera anyways.

I hope that Canon will fix all these issues with firmware update ^^

Anyway, thanks Lena for being my subject in the picture! I will buy you some beer next time..lol

Enjoy the gears that we have and call it a day :-)

Nice shots!

Yeah, my friend has a 5D3 and 85LII and it does focus faster when I mounted it to my 5D2.

I thought it was more of a limitation of the lens. I haven't shot he 85 on a mkii only the 1dmkiv and it was pretty good. I wonder what difference between the mkiv and new mkii are.

My only complaints with the shots are that her skin tone is pretty much white, and she has the same facial expression in every shot

Anyway more on topic, glad to see the Mark 3 made such a huge difference in using the lens. Im still on the fence to get more glass or a new body :(
