So far, I am absolutely loving the AF system. I don't think there's anything IQ wise that jumps out at me compared to the 5D2 however. Love spot AF and being able to toggle between single shot and AI server using the DOF preview button. I think that's pretty slick.

Umm, yeah....?

Actually, I didnt have much time to look through and comment on them, but here are my thoughts now.

1. I like this shot - its solid. I like the composition and dealing with foreground and background elements.

2. This is what made me think you used the 5d3 (and then I read). Nice job.

3. Fun photo. A bit more distorted than I like. I probably would have backed up farther and shot longer (using my 70-200) if possible. Stylistic thing.

4. Beautiful!

5. This one doesnt do much for me.

6. Good moment catch.

7. Its not easy getting everyone in a giant shot. I think it would have been interesting to put the bride and groom in the middle of the group too.

8. Great job. Shots like this is why I want a better focusing, off center camera.

Thanks for the feedback!

Yeah, for #2, I think I used the outer-most crosstype AF point. It obviously nailed it. I shot with the 5D3 with full confidence and it really just nailed everything I didn't screw up on! :)

Yeah, I shot #3 with the 16-35L II. I wasn't looking for a technically correct photo...i.e. distortion and what not. Meant to be a fun shot, no more, no less, but duly noted.

#5 is just personal taste. I like to throw in some oddly framed photos with negative space once in a while. Definitely can understand it not doing anything for you.

On #7, yeah, probably shoulda taken that version. Man, controlling 300+ is a tough thing to do!

Im going to comment on your comments about my comments.

I understand about #3, and I know many people that would do it exactly this way. I just dont like wide angle shots - ive tried, but I just havent gotten into it.

I love negative space sometimes, but this is just so odd to me. That being said, I am sure you shot with something more in mind, and I think it could probably work stellar in an album spread.

As for #7, I noticed after I posted this that if I got one shot, there would be no way I would want to rearrange everyone. I probably would have done it the same way, but I think it may be interesting with them in the middle.

Good job as always Nick.

Oh, and Bryan, BTW, the last shot was with the 5D2. Doh! :);)
I shot that with the 24 at f2.8, so I had pretty good DOF to work with.

This one was shot with the 5D3 + 70-200 at 125mm, AI Servo using one of the outer points, something I would NEVER do. Nailed it.
