Movie Digest Mode in G1X

I've just started playing with Movie Digest mode and wondered if anyone had the time yet to develop a 'technique' in this mode which is poorly explained (in seems to me) in the manual.

I assumed that it would record whilst button is half pressed (between 2 and 4 secs it says) and then you press all the way for an undefined SCN style.

My early attempts have produced quite clipped audio - unfortunately before and after button press I think - assuming this is the correct technique.

There will be a 'way' of course ....:confused:

This feature doesn't shoot in hd just to warn you. Once I learned that I never got around to using it
