Doesn't matter, the 20% off sale is done (unless you have another coupon or something..)

Oops, I was looking at the wrong date, the free shipping doesn't expire until the 28th. Back to scouring the for sale forum.

... the guys buying the bodies (except the 5Dii) know that you can get an additional 20% off refurb prices at any time via the Canon Loyalty Program, right?

True- but I do not believe you can not stack rebate programs (like ebates.com, etc) with CLP.

Ugh, I got so excited when I saw "in stock" on the 5D2. The guy on the phone said it was a typo, but I'm going to keep hitting that button anyway.

You rock! Thanks for posting the stock update. I just purchased the 70-200 2.8 IS II and 60D through CLP(20% off standard refurb prices for both body and lens).

I was about to rage hard and say 'I never said you could!' but you're right; if you can time it right so that you have both the actual sale and rebate site participation, then it's definitely better, but what I was trying to let people know is that with the exception of the 5D2, they can still get good deals. IN fact, the CLP will allow you to buy certain lenses at the discount too if purchased with a body.

Point taken. Also, I was not attacking you.

I thought lenses aren't available in CLP?

Didn't think you were. :) That's why I said I WAS about to.. not didnt. And even then, most of the time if I do 'rage hard', I just try to explain things. I'm weird like that. :)

Wait, WHAT? You got 20% off the 70-200 IS II 2.8? I thought there was a list of lenses you could get 20% off with the CLP and that wasn't on it... but yes, recently it was announced that if you got a participating CLP body you could get certain lenses for 20% off..

Lenses have been included in CLP for about a week now. A body must be purchased for lens CLP. Shipping is upgraded to 2nd day for free when adding a lens through CLP. The first post of CLP thread has not yet been updated to reflect this info.

Here are my initial findings of lens in CLP.

Anyone have any insight into why the 24-70 doesn't even show on the refurb list. (yes, I know the coupon expired)

I had it on a wishlist, and it showed in stock. Ordered yesterday with coupon but don't know if it will actually ship. Don't know why some lenses have been removed..

Anyone got their gear yet? I got my lens today and was impressed with the condition. It looked entirely brand new. It was my first refurbished item, but I think I'll be back.
