I bought my AB's a few years ago when they came with the original shiny 7" reflectors. Since then I think I heard/read they replaced the reflectors with new "matte" coated ones that give a more even spread of light.

Could I just paint mine with some matte paint? Any recommendations on what would work?

You could always scuff it up with a scotch bright pad or some fine sand paper. I think paint would be a real bad idea. By the time you scuff/prime/paint you could just order a new one and save yourself the hassle.

Thanks guys. I would actually order myself a new one, but the shipping to Canada is very expensive. I had heard of scuffing it, but I thought maybe a matte spray paint might look a little better. I didn't realize I would have to prime them and paint them.
