Love to see raptors on the ground...out of their element. Excellent series.

Nice job! That looks like a first year bird, with the yellow eye and brown tail.

Three fine shots there Gary, the 3rd one is outstanding. Great POV you got as well, how'd you manage that, the bird must have been at eye level?

Nice Gary! I love the habitat. We do not see them that often. Good job on the in-flights too.

Great catch of a normally spooky bird, Gary.

Thanks Mark...This Juvenile RTH was a favourite subject in December and recently returned to the area. He/she often hunts from low perches and in this case was on the ground. Not unusual to find this bird hopping around on the ground to scare up some voles,,,the strategy appears to work occasionaly..Anyway...I got these shots as he took off from ground level, hence the eye level pov.

And a big thanks to Anthony, kmunro, Liz, Kevan, Harvey, Duane, Lil, CDMOOSE, and Mark...

What a beautiful RTH series Gary! My dream is to capture the raptor like this. They are quite common here. Just won't let anyone get close.
