Took a nice spring drive around the Sacramento River delta wind-farms this weekend.

This last one also shows the Western Railroad Museum's spring wildflower train stopping for a photo op before returning to the Museum. This is near Birds Landing California. The museum runs on the old Sacramento Northern Railroad's old right of way. The Railroad ran from Chico to Oakland, and was electrified. Just a few miles from this spot, the trains loaded on a ferry to cross Suisun Bay and continue to Oakland.

Sure was. After this drive on Saturday, I went up Mt. Diablo on Sunday and got some really great wildflower and cloud shots. A great weekend to live in Northern California!
