It's been more than a week so I decided to visit the eagles. Here are some of the pics :)

Great, Jo! I'm glad you're following your local family and able to get such great shots. It'll be over a week before I can carry my gear again and I'm going thru withdrawal!

Thanks Ian, I am definitely positively hooked with these pair of eagles :). Sad to hear you can't carry your gears for over a week, maybe hire somebody? :D

That's a great Eagle series Jo.
It looks like you've found a pretty good spot both to watch and photograph. I really like the landing series, and the final one w/the female perched. Very nice!

Excellent series and it's nice to be able to watch a pair of Eagles raise a family isn't it?

I am in no way doubting you or which is the male or female but at the nest I follow the female rarely left the nest while they still had eggs. She did take some breaks to stretch her wings but she did 90% of the incubating and never did bring food back to the nest while there were eggs...only the male did and that was to feed the female. Once the eaglets were big enough that they didn't need to be kept warm did she go out and catch something for the family but she never stayed away long.

Thanks Duane, I visit the nest once a week (or sometimes 2) only but in this case I am pretty sure it's the male incubating the eggs, maybe this was one of the very few times he did it :). There are a few more people watching and we pretty much agreed that it was the male in the nest because the one on the nest is smaller than the eagle who delivered the meal. An older lady who had been following the eagles everyday said they take turns after every couple of hours. The few times i've been in this nest, I've always seen her so I kinda believe her :)
