Finally got an opportunity to shoot some new material. Tried my luck at Tunnel View on Saturday. You can read about it on my blog: "Bridalveil Falls in the Fog (external link)".

I like it but it's almost too foggy to see.

Very cool! Have you tried it in B&W to see how that would look? I always love fog in black and white

I like it. Very mysterious.

- I discovered I scream the same way whether I'm about to be devoured by a great white shark or if a piece of seaweed touches my foot.

I probably will just because, but I like the splash of color.

When were you there? I didn't see you. I was there at 4pm to 4:30pm, then returned at 6:30 and left at 8:15pm.

i got off early from work at 4 so i'd say i was up there by 415 or so? and then stayed until around 730, but i went back and forth between the car

im not usually the "social" type of photographer up there. i love the people that are just chatting everyone up and then start passing out cards. i usually have my ipod working unless i am using my 4x5 when i really need to pay attention

Since my stroke, I'm generally not a social butterfly myself. I have a tough time (at times) processing conversation.

Heck, I'm young and I'm not very social when it comes to photography either. I've been up at Tunnel View when there were 40-50 photographers and most will keep to themselves or maybe make a comment or two. Earlier this year there was some guy from Socal that just kept talking and talking as I was trying to shoot film and digital on two tripods. Finally the guy got the message and left me alone... It's always fun when it's packed though because it's mostly serious photographers.

Are there two of you guys that do the morning photo walks?

there are about 4-5 of us that do them throughout the year, maybe a couple more in the summer

i like the 4x5 because i can just chill under the darkcloth and be in my own world haha
