Anyone here have something similar to me and use a 7MDH?
60D gripped (most of the time)
17-50
70-300
85
28
50
10-20
2 flashes
couple of filters and adapter rings
cleaning supplies
batteries etc..

I bought a 6MDH but it seems to be a tight fit with the gripped body so I'm thinking the 7MDH might be better but I'm worried that if I want to go with a lighter kit for the day that everything will flop around. Looking for comments from anyone with this bag or similar as it relates to versatility.

Thanks

I would think that will all go in the 7MDH but not owning that exact load makes it tough to sat for sure?
I feel the Crumpler padding always gets in the way of how much I can get in the bag as well as how much I think I can get in it.

The padding gives good protection for sure but is just too puffy to me.
I screw around setting it up like crazy and then it looks like all will be too tight but then things just slide in past the huge padding.

I can get in mine
7D Gripped
17-55
70-200 2.8
10-22
50 1.8
2 flashes and assorted other crap without even trying really so I think if you stacked the small lenses it will be about the same for you.

Good Luck
Ed

Thanks Ed. I noticed that about the padding as well.

I don't know if I'll ever carry all my gear in a 7MDH, but I was hoping the larger pack would drape better when it's on my body if that makes sense. I have a Kata backpack for that can carry all my gear but on a quicker moving shoot, it's a pain if I need to get anything out, which has been my main motivation for another bag.

I can't decided between the 6 or 7. I plan on picking up a sigma 70-200f2.8, tamron 17-55 f2.8 on the gripped 60d, 430 exii, extension tubes, maybe the 18-135 but I rarely use it, and filters.

Canon (60D Gripped | 18-135mm f3.5-5.6 IS | 40mm f2.8 | 50mm f1.8 | 70-200 F4L IS| 430 EXII)
Tamron (17-50 f2.8 VC)

I just exchanged the 6MDH for the 7. I'll put it all together and see how it all fits. Hopefully I don't need to return it again tomorrow!

I have the 6mdh for two years and loving it! I decided to purchased the 7mdh because it was on sale for 99! Just receive the 7mdh today and its BIG! It fit all my gears and more but its too heavy to carry it around! I think the 6MDH is perfect!

Yeah I noticed that the 7 was on sale on the Canadian site as well Eric. Unfortunately, Lens and Shutter won't match the web price.

It is big but it only looks about an inch larger in each direction compared to the 6MDH. I'll try it out tonight and see what happens I guess.
