Not sure if anyone else has ever experienced this but I recently sent my 1D3 (feel free to enter other model here) to Canon CPS for service. I had a bad circuit board and the camera stopped powering up. Canon fixed it quickly and got my gear back in a few days and the camera now powers up immediately as it should. This is where the good part ends... In addition to fixing the power supply (which is what I asked them to do), Canon was "kind" enough to "fix" the exposure and focus. Huh? If I wanted those adjusted I would have asked. Now my camera overexposes by roughly 2/3 (obviously, I can compensate but I shouldn't have to) AND I am having a tough time producing sharp images with the same lenses I used prior to the "fix".

Call this a rant or whatever you want but seriously CPS, fix what I ask and charge me accordingly and leave the rest alone! Now I have a problem that requires me to send it back in at my own expense to fix a problem they created and, lucky me, I'm sure I get to pay for that one as well. This is crap, plain and simple.

Call CPS up and explain the situation and ask for a return FEDEX shipping label.

Ill definitely give that a shot tomorrow. In the past, they have not been terribly receptive to things like that since they claim that it meets factory specs when it leaves CPS. Can't hurt to try though.
