Apr 16, 2012 22:19 | #3 Nice to see another set of yours from the Wichita Mountains. One of my favorite places. Just hiked the trail to the narrows three weeks ago. The water was very high and I got my right foot wet twice. Slipped into the creek the first time trying to pass a nearly vertical rock face at the creek's edge. The second time was careless because I was really tired. Had a great time. Here are a couple from the first hike of the day along Cache Creek to the 40 foot hole. Apr 16, 2012 23:03 | #4 I like the one with the mist over the water. If the Wichita Mts Wildlife Refuge were closer, I would be there often. To me, every day is Saturday.

ToddLambert I don't like titles More info | Apr 16, 2012 23:23 | #6 Damn, there's a lot more water there now. I was there over the summer and because of the drought it was almost bone dry. Coupled with lots of recent fire damage, made for challenging shooting.

Apr 16, 2012 23:32 | #8 We've had a very wet spring and water was just standing everywhere. It can really dry out during a long hot summer. Here's some of the falls at the 40 foot hole from the same day. Image hosted by forum (591211) © rgs [SHARE LINK] THIS IS A LOW QUALITY PREVIEW. Please log in to see the good quality stuff. Apr 16, 2012 23:54 | #10 I recommend it. Best at first light. The trail is at the rim of the canyon but going along the creek bank is better, I think.
