For me anyways, I have never gone in to manipulating colors, adding digital bokeh, etc... as much as I have done here... Initially I was going for a cinematic look, then I ditched that idea not because the processing was bad, it just didnt fit with the situation. So I ended up with this. I like it, I think. Im not sure if I partially like it because I took so much time on it or what. Im looking for your opinions.

Hmmm. For me the fake bokeh circles is distracting as I keep trying to figure out what it is and don't bother looking at the subject.

I think if you lighten the opacity of the bokeh it will let you focus on her more and will make for a better portrait.

okay after sitting on this for a night, I believe the background is too busy to create a digital bokeh effect. The colors are fun but they need something to pair with the model. Overall my goal to find a new style through photoshop was a success, will I use it again? Only time shall tell.

The more defined circles you see in the OOF background the poorer the 'bokeh'. Look for a creamy smooth, no detail OOF.

Of course, since bokeh is subjective, if you like it I guess you've accomplished your goals. It is an interesting background.
