Hi everyone, I know this isn't up to lordv standards but i'm please with my first shot of some insects doing the wild thing, it was a over cast day and windy.This is the best of about 4 pics before my money ran out and they went their own way.

Nice shot, but it feels to me you should have rotated it (even if this is as you saw it). 90' or even 180' would feel better to me.

Looks like an excellent capture to me- congrats. I was going to suggest rotating the pic as Al suggested but it does make an interesting composition as it is (even if I do want to keep tilting my head).
What was the aperture, natural light?

here the pic straight out of the cam,iso800 f5.6 1/320, no flash, Yes i tried different angles but i came back to that composition, because Thats how i seen them, yes i no it looks odd, and but thats how i saw them and to me any other angle would look odd.

Think the composition on the uncropped image is even better :D agree I'd leave it as it is. Always a difficult decision whether to rotate an image from the position it was originally taken.

Thanks Brian v, I have learnt alot from your posts, its always interesting see what other folks see and think about the photos one take, because what one might like another might dislike. hope you understand what i tried to type.

The 2nd pic is what i seen in the camera view finder, but i wash i could get a couple more so i can make them move like you.:)
