Is multiple image composition and HDR tools a completely new feature?

YAY!!!
The HDR tool was already in there. I've used it several times.
I thought the lens optimizer thing was already in there also?

I hope they fixed it taking a long time (like 10 seconds) to paste a recipe copied from one RAW to another. And how long it takes to resolve a RAW image from those huge pixelated blocks to a viewable picture.

I think HDR was in there if you bought a Mark III because it wasn't in my software I got with the MarkII.

Version 3.11.26 is the same as 3.11.10 which is supplied with the 5D3, except maybe with fewer bugs. The lines about new features refer to changes relative to 3.11.4 which was the previous version available for download.

Biggest thing for me seems to be that it fixes an issue where if you do a full screen quick check of a ton of images, once you get like halfway through, it crashes, lol. That isn't happening any longer, thankfully.

I wonder if there is any particular reason that the Canon USA site doesn't have 3.11.26? If you plug through the link provided by the OP the download comes from Canada.

Typically they don't come out all at the same time. I usually hit Japan, Europe and USA one or twice a month to look for updates. EU is usually the first.

Guess its our turn now.

Dang it - Installed the Japanese version. Which would be OK but I cannot read the language! Tried to install the English over it, but it said that it's already installed. Oh well, guess I'll uninstall/reinstall. :-)

If that's the worst thing that happens today, I'm doing OK. :)

OK, it's installed. I will say one thing - it renders sharp the 100% view of 5D3 images considerably faster than the version that comes with the 5D3.

It is an update to the software that was shipped. You need that software installed before you can use the download.

I have the most current version of DPP loaded prior to the 5D3 version. Shouldn't it load over it? It always has in the past.
