It would be useful sometimes if one could combine exposure and focus bracketing in one burst, resulting in (say) nine shots covering small errors in both exposure and focus.

For example, trying to get at least one good shot of an active, back-lit bird among branches and leaves.

My 60D only allows AEB, although my SX40 allows either AEB or AFB but not both at once.

Is there any Canon body that will do this?

Great question...I can see how AFB could be very useful for macro photography. In for replies.

With the impending forum closure, please consider joining the unofficial adjunct to the POTN forum, The POTN Forum Facebook Group (external link), as an alternate way of maintaining communication with our members and sharing/discussing the hobby.

Magic Lantern (external link)will enable you to do focus stacking (sort of bracketing) and lots of other features (focus peaking, exposure zebras, etc.) BUT not the rapid focus bracketing needed in your example of the bird.

That's where an OLED on one face of the pentaprism during mirror lockup-blackout, showing a 10x Live View image would help with MF :)
Maybe in the 5D Mk 25.....
