Some people reuse cloths many times while others throw them away quite constantly. It all depends on your usage of the cloth.

I wash mine all the time. Every week or two I just throw them in the wash and then the dryer. I just bought a couple more 3M Microfiber Cleaning Cloths from Walmart in the eyeglass section so I can keep them in different locations, like one in my car, one in my pocket and one in my camera bag.

Take Care,
Cheers, Patrick

Here's auto detailers tip: don't just use any microfiber cloth, always test it on blank CD and wipe and see it leave any marring. if does leave marring, then don't use it on your glass.. always look for Made in Korea MF towels they have the highest quality.

I have a few dozen stashed all over and don't usually wash them (on purpose) but my optician does. He doesn't use dryer sheets, says it helps avoid smearing.

Yes they can be washed. I use Smartwax #80401 Clean Microfiber (external link) which works well.

I wash mine from time to time and just hang them by a corner to dry. I do rinse them in RO water as we have a really high mineral content here.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.

I'll confirm the above suggestion on cleaning them. DO NOT use fabric softener sheets when drying them.
